“Wouldn’t dream of it!” the excited yearling promised him, his voice light and energised. He was certainly going to put his all into this fight. He’d been preparing for his first raid for what felt like forever. Most of the wolves he loved were right here, and he wanted to do them all proud!

His wings hit their mark, puncturing the skin on the older wolf's shoulders. When he saw the black wolf going for the somewhat fragile bones of his feather appendage, he tried again to grab at Rhazien’s scruff. So he could wrench their head away and keep them from attacking his wing. He’d had one broken before, and he knew how much it could hurt.
