Alaric watched the horizon for signs of life when a sudden reddish pelt came into view. At first, he mistook them for a fox. Then they got closer and he could tell that this was no fox he'd ever seen before. He stared at them for a moment, a low hum leaving his lips. "Are you a wolf?" He asked casually, trying to see if his intuition was right. He looked over to Maul and nodded at him. "Maul will stay out of this. A friendly fight. Nothing too serious." He told the challenger. Maul walked off a few feet and sat down, his eyes staring at the pair.

Alaric checked his defenses. His stance widened for extra balance, his tail raise even with his spine for better balance too. His ears folded to protect them from injury. He tucked his chin to protect his vitals. "Ready?" He asked, giving his opponent time to answer.

Then, Alaric spring forwards. He quickly closed the gap between them and lowered his head. He was aiming for the chest, attempting to knock his opponent back and onto their back. He was hoping his weight and momentum would aid in this and his force would do the trick.
