As he dipped beneath her and lifted her effortlessly, she felt a rush of exhilaration surge through her body. The world spun momentarily as she adjusted to her new position, hips perched over his shoulder, her tail flicking with playful irritation. Hopefully right in his handsome face. Her fores wrapped around his waist, resting her chin above his spine as she huffed.

“You think you’ve won already?” She teased, though her tone held no real malice. The security of his grip, the familiar strength in his movements, kept her solidly perched as she fought against the urge to wriggle free. “Fine, Aresenn, have it your way, I’ll make you pay for it.” The fae purred, letting herself relax just enough to enjoy the ride. She’d have her get back once they arrived, she swore it.
