Change, adapt, overcome

Big changes were in the works and they had to do directly with her family. Deimos would be King of Elysium and she would support him as she had been born and bred to do. Diplomacy, ruling a kingdom... it was second nature to Ikigai. Her husband was rough around the edges still, but he was getting better. She would be there to school him in the finer points of leading a group.

Ikigai seated herself behind and to the right of Deimos, her long tail curled around her hip. The horned woman sat tall and slender, marbled eyes noting everyone that arrived and everyone that didn't. Where were her children? If they didn't show up, she'd be rather cross with them.
