Dog Without Flaws

The winter morning had the healer scrounging among the reeds and dried leaning grasses. Perhaps in the summer and fall the grasses would hide all matter of things but here in winter under a blanket of snow, the wet weighed down the wheat and grass. Enough to let the wolf dog pick her way over the piles of shrubs and climb over the drifts. At some point, she sank under the snow and discovered a myriad of tunnels braced by the rotting plants as prey and predators made their across the plains, under the snows. It made quite a labyrinth. Occasionally she would pp up above the tunnels to get her bearings.

This place didn't seem to harbor growth for the herbs she would like to find, perhaps she could return in the spring and summer to see what it could provide then, but now... Now it was a maze.

She sat with her rump on the ground, a little tired of searching for hints and clues of what herbs remained or would come up in the future. Maybe someone could help her find her way back to the moors.
