The Summer Bonfire Festival (Year 20)

Bancha is a social wolf that is typically unbothered by little. He, of course, feels feelings and experiences the typical wave of emotions that all wolves did, but tonight seemed to be different. Where he would normally wander off to introduce himself to someone new, he felt overwhelmed. There were so many wolves here and with this not being his home, he didn’t know where safety would be.

His brain attempts to calm him as Artorias addresses the crowd. He listens respectfully and watches as wolves from all over go to pay their respects to the dead. It is then that he sees Bowen wander up with a branch that she places into the wood. Bancha’s eyes widen a moment as his tail begins to wag until he sees the look on her face. She’s… so sad. No one else seemed to notice her and he wasn’t sure if it was because she was so small, this wasn’t actually her home, or if it was because of the commotion beginning to break out elsehwhere.

With voices starting to rise in volume, Bancha didn’t waste any more time rushing over to Bowen. Sad or not, he would help comfort his friend and hopefully they would stay out of the way. Slipping into the darkness beside her, Bancha curls up close and licks a tear away from her cheek. “Bowen, I’m sorry you’re sad. Can I come be with you? Is that alright?” He whispers, his own eyes watering for her loss.
