Wolves and bears

Even though the bright lights had stolen away her mommy, daddy, and three of her siblings, Coho will not be deterred from exploring the world. Besides, it could all just be a test that they made up to see if she and Hag would behave in their absence… which, well… they try. Small paws scramble up the rocky outcroppings that lead toward a towering peak, the strange sound of a dull roar pulling the pup to quickly ascend the less than safe rocks.

Excitement pulls her on, the thought of discovering something entirely new driving her to move faster and faster. Finally, she crests the area where a roaring sheet of water falls from the sky, slamming unforgivingly into a pool below. The cold weather has iced over much of the falls, making it look like it the water being poured past a clear glass pane. Eyes round with excitement as her small paws pound the slick slate rocks, seeking to get a closer look at this strange and amazing thing.

The pool has a thin layer of ice over it and she spies a small polar tittering on the edge nearby before being rescued by a big winged wolf. Paws stop moving as she wants to get a good look at those wings but her forward momentum coupled with the wet, slick rocks has her continuing to slide toward iced over water. With a startled yelp, she calls out to the strange, “Help! I can’t stop!” Coho isn’t exactly afraid just more annoyed at the fact that she might get cold and wet.

It would be a heck of a climb down with ice in her fur.
