It didn’t take him long to see who’s presence had disturbed him. With a coat like that, they must be accustomed to standing out like a beckon. He offered them a smile, his tail starting up in a friendly greeting behind him. “That’s me!” He agreed easily. “A bird. Or was it a wolf? I never could remember.” He teased, his eyes dancing lightly as he encouraged the other wolf to tease him.

The other wolf grew closer, their stance predatory. A warning. Wylan had never in his entire life taken another wolf as a threat. His open, friendly stance didn’t change a bit.
