he could only go so far, sniffing out the wetlands soon before the rain had started. it's a tough state he's in-, now adding the heavy rainfall that drenched him cold. but he came for a reason here, knowing that boneset grew where it was wet. he'd limped from the gorge back in insomnia, wasting no time to heal himself. he depended on no one else as he took full responsibility for his health & did so proudly. from previous knowledge, he knew what would ease the ache of his left shoulder. wondering if it was an internal ligament tear or worse; someone had to look at it from behind, and perhaps even stitch him. erebos felt the stings of cold water clean over his fresh wounds that still seeped blood. the metallic smell strong as ever in the humidity.
but he's on guard, his musk full of bodily chemicals denoting his aggressive state. hackles still raised and his eyes alert despite the blur of rain before him. so slowly, he continued on until he found pools that resembled a paw. finally.
searching the terrain, he discovered a small thicket of white flowers: the boneset he was hoping to find. he sat then, rain continuously pouring over his tall body as he lowered his head to the ground. he'd begin to pick the wet herb, placing them near his right side as he harvested for some time. knowing he'd need a large amount to sustain him for the next week or two.
