A distant grumble caught the boy's ear, and he popped up to better see over the reeds that lined the edge of the lake. There was movement up ahead and he stalked closer, with all the brazen confidence of a child that had never suffered a day in his existence. A pup that had the backing of a pack behind him within shouting distance. Far from a princeling though, there was a wild and curious edge to his violet eyes as they finally fell on the shadow coated youngling. The boy didn't speak though, he just stared, trying to decipher what the stranger was doing out here, alone, and so close to his home.
