Alena suddenly felt tired. Very tired. Tired of arguing, tired of worrying, tired of wanting revenge. With a sigh she sank back down onto her haunches and looked down at her fore paws, not wanting to look at him just yet. Somehow revenge wasn't near as sweet as she had hoped it would be. Seeing him like this, cut off from his pack and family, missing an eye... It was exactly what she had wanted to happen, and yet it was much less satisfying that she had hoped.

Without looking at him, she spoke softly, her voice showing how defeated she herself felt. "Almost all of the pups are gone. Nako is in Seracia for good I suppose, Tocan and Calix ran off and I haven't been able to find them, Lel hates me for moving him to the new Amenti, and Jian... I don't know. I haven't seen her in a few days... I'm afraid she's run off too." She paused, her ears folding back against her skull and her violet eyes finally lifting to meet his one remaining eye. "I've failed. I've failed over and over again. As a mother, as an alpha, as a mate..." She gave a short shake of her head and looking down again. She wasn't sure why she was telling him all of this. There was really no point, but he was here and he was listening, which was more than she could say for most of the wolves in her life now.

"I won't forgive you for what you did, to Nako I mean... But I will thank you for him being safe. I feel like I should have brought them all to Seracia to begin with. Then maybe they would all still be with me..." She lifted her gaze to him once more, watching him silently for a few moments, before finally leaning down and placing a small kiss on his cheek. "Good luck with the rest of your life, Bane. I hope it's as comfortable as it can be, given the circumstances." And with that she would stand and turn back the way she came, starting the long trek back to her pack, not feeling any better than she had when she arrived.
