He was in very close quarters with the tiger to do an attack like this so getting the big cat's claws swiping at him was pretty unavoidable. He felt its sharp claws scrape across both of his shoulders as it flailed on the ends of his horns, but unfortunately for the feline he grew up around siblings and family members who almost all had some sort of large claws or feline like paws. He was more than used to a few scratches. He didn't back off of his attack and only doubled down on it as he pulled his head back a bit and then charged forward for another attack with his head tucked a little lower so that his horns jabbed at the tiger's throat instead. He also lifted one large, bear-like paw to hook his thick claws into the tiger's shoulder as he turned with a twist of his upper body, using his muscle and bulk to throw the tiger to the ground and pin it down. Yeah, this fight wasn't going to last long.
