He spun around quickly enough to catch the smaller canine before it could get away as it tried to bite at his back legs, grabbing it by the scruff and pulling yelps from it as he easily tossed the coyote across the clearing. The coyote scrambled to its paws and ran off into the brush, but there was quickly two more to take its place. He hooked one of them with his thick claws, the curved, bear-like claws grabbing ahold of its shoulder and digging in deep to make sure it couldn't get away. He tossed the coyote into the other like a bowling ball into a pin, toppling them both over and sending them running. The one he had grabbed had a heavy limp now–hopefully a reminder to scram and not come back. There was really no telling with coyotes though. So many of them were so dumb that they thought they could get away with anything and there was so many of them that sometimes they could. Not today, though.
