Dance with the devil

She felt her blade hit his leg, even if it only cut him a little, she was happy she landed the blow. It was a small victory for the spotted woman, but it was short-lived. Bigs also landed his blow, but the wrong dog stepped between him and his target, forcing him to change his direction as he ran. The dog aimed his teeth at Bigs' tail, which the six-inch tall chihuahua mix tucked between his legs as if he had the zoomies, narrowly avoiding the massive paw that was aimed at him. He didn't make it out unscathed, however, and received some claw marks down his side. Alaric, meanwhile, aimed his teeth at Atreyu's right hind leg.

Atreyu felt his hot breath on her leg and moved to pull away, feeling the sharp pinch of teeth barely missing getting a chunk of her leg. Her forward momentum helped her to avoid the worst of those teeth, only receiving a pinch and now missing some fur. While Alaric snapped at her, his dog was moving to barrel into her side with his mouth open wide, a blow she couldn't avoid. The cane corso's teeth scraped down her side as she veered slightly right, closer to Alaric, not wanting to lose her target. Ignoring the pain of those long teeth marks, Atreyu bared her teeth on a growl and swiped her blade at Maul, hoping to drive him back, not truly attack him.

Immediately after she felt the pinch of Alaric's teeth, Atreyu kicked out her right hind limb, her claws on her hind foot out as she did so. She aimed to kick Alaric in his muzzle, her true target the male's nose. The cat-like woman didn't want to break his nose, just make him see stars for a moment. Meanwhile, Bigs moved around Cinder as fast as he could. His hopes were to get to the cane corso's face and latch onto the left side of his muzzle on those droopy lips. Bigs aimed to whip his head back and forth, hopefully leaving a tear on the lip of Cinder. Atreyu kept a sharp eye on the trio, but she was not infallible. She had survived worse than this, and she would continue surviving.
