Mule Over This!

Her ears twitched, filtering the sounds that echoed through the winter air as her eyes focused on the battle. The bucks dueled viciously until at last a victor was declared and the loser deemed prey for the pair of hungry wolves. Cifarelli charged first, Jynn close behind. Her limbs moved swiftly, eating up the distance. The dark male struck, fangs sinking deep into the left hind leg and cutting off the ability for their prey to escape. Jynn neared the front right leg and the buck tried to gore her with his remaining antler. His head swept low and she deftly stepped aside, fangs latching into the back of the right front leg, just behind the knee. Then, with a powerful push, Jynn forced the limb to bend. Suddenly unsteady the buck crashed forward into the ground. Perfect! Jynn released her hold and while the buck was vulnerable she latched her teeth around its throat. It struggled against her but between the loss of blood and lack of air it soon passed.
