Basilisk could see the reaction his words had with Artorias. It wasn’t really a wonder, considering the strong animosity the Lord of Cinder had for the Syndicate. When the Hallows wolf followed up with questions, Basilisk shook his head. He wasn’t generally a wolf who liked to share information. He and his mountain pack were keeping to themselves, and his diplomacy had been severely limited so far. But he felt an inclination to attempt a little more with Artorias, who clearly was not moved by his renewed vowel of alliance with the Hallows.

“My Aunt, actually.” He explained, and went on to offer a little more. “The relationship started before the Syndicate was formed, and I have given her a clear line. If she wants to start a family with this wolf, she will need to make a choice. I won’t share custody with the Syndicate.” He shook his head, letting a little of his worries bleed through. “I don’t trust them, but so far they’ve kept to themselves. But I want to clear the air, where does this information leave us with the Hallows?”
