Corbie had informed him that the Armada would initiate a practice raid on Avalon. They didn't know when or where but that was the point. Álarr simply kept an ear out and went about his business until one spring day he heard the challenging call. The Armada had arrived and it was time for Avalon to answer. He knew Corbie had a lot on her plate, especially with spring lambing so the answering would be in the paws of the betas and Corbie would show if she had time.

Álarr swiftly donned his armor and weaponry, calling his companions together before charging out to meet their opponents. He was pleased to see Merlin was already there and engaged in a fight. The boy was showing good initiative toward his training. Not one for tradition Álarr was fine choosing any opponent but at this juncture he opted to take on the leader. Well… at least try.

Álarr raced toward Basilisk before slipping subtly to his left. He planted his front legs, kicking off with his hind legs to try and arc in toward Basilisk's right front leg. Álarr's jaws lashed forward seeking to strike the larger man's shoulder where the trapezius muscle connected to the limb. His goal was to lacerate the flesh and tag the area not to actually tear the ligament.
