Cerberus seemed to spot their targets first as he stopped the group, the four of them standing quietly on alert as they waited and let the coyotes come to them. Sure enough, the dumb little predators took the bait and began to swarm out of the forest from seemingly all sides. He kept his back to the others, watching their backs while they watched his to keep them from getting overwhelmed by the coyotes' sheer numbers. He heard the others engaging with some of them already as a pair of them emerged from the trees in front of him. With a snarl he grabbed one by the back of the neck as soon as it was close enough to do so, making it trash and yelp in his grip. The second one went for his front leg, but no sooner did it bite into his skin did he make a hard swing of his head to throw one coyote into the other, using the one he bit like a bowling ball and sending the pair tumbling into one another. He jumped forward and caught one of them under his heavy paws while the other wiggled away in an attempt to run back into the trees and escape. Morendo bit into its neck again right behind its skull and gave a hard, twisting yank until he felt the vertebra snap and the coyote fell still with just a couple of twitches before it passed.
