Just Going With The Flow Of Blood

Storm clouds built on the horizon but the path of the wind suggested the storms would move just south of her. Marrow eyes their movement for a moment more before stuffing her face back in her food. She'd had the good luck to find a freshly dead pronghorn antelope. The cause seemed to be disease and as the first predator on scene she assumed it was meant for her and she wasn't too keen to share with anyone other than the ravens and crows as long as they behaved themselves.
Marrow seized a portion of the shoulder. Placing her front paws down on the back she pulled hard to release the muscle and leave herself a nice chunk of flesh to chew on. Marrow was working contentedly on her meal when out of the corner of her eyes she spied a pair of coyotes. She immediately snarled. Mangy scavengers! Trying to take what was hers. She whirled around with a vicious growl and dove at the coyotes to send a message. This was her kill!
