He gently pushed against her side to test her balance, and found her form to be reliably steady.

“So you’ve had some training.” He wouldn’t be starting from scratch here. That was good. He concluded his talk and returned to her front. He stared her down for a moment, and then took a step back. “Attack me, I want to see how your defences transform and return in battle.” He commanded her, giving her permission to unleash an attack on him.
