Steel and claw

Avacyn's conversation with Deimos was cut short by Artorias' howl from near the border, the call making her blink with surprise as she looked out toward the edge of the island. That's when she remembered the promised raid that her uncle had previously mentioned. Well, it appeared that today was the day! What good luck that she was already clad in her armor for a patrol. Her uncle wasted no time charging off toward the fight so she did the same, hot on his heels as they ran in to the fight. It had been far too long since she had been in any kind of real fight so she was very much looking forward to this.

As she ran up to the group of advancing wolves she immediately began to scan the group to find her first opponent. Deimos immediately went for Artorias so her gaze landed on the younger woman charging in next to the Lord of Cinder. She was a bit taller than her, matching the height of the other dire wolves on the field, but Avacyn was more than used to fighting wolves taller than her. She put herself directly in front of Bramble as she approached, giving the girl a grin as she pretended that she was going to ram into her only to duck to her left at the last moment with a light, graceful leap. She pivoted and tried to make herself perpendicular to Bramble's right shoulder as she lunged forward to try and latch her jaws around the taller girl's right ankle. She was mindful of the fact that this was a friendly raid so she wouldn't bite down hard enough to leave any permanent injuries, but she did want to grip hard enough to hopefully use the woman's momentum against her and trip her up.
