Steel and claw

It didn't take long for the Elysium wolves to come charging out of the woods to stop the advance of the Hallowed wolves. The first out of the underbrush was none other than the king himself, Artorias grinning with eager energy as Deimos rushed at him. The fight was on. The Lord of Cinder didn't halt his advance, charging back at his approaching opponent without pause. They were the same size, but Deimos had a weight advantage on him, and Artorias knew a direct collision would not go in his favor. Using his deft footwork, Art waited until Deimos was right up on him before pivoting to the side, taking Deimos' impact off center and glancing off some of the force with a roll of his shoulder. His paws planted firmly on the ground, muscles flexing and straining against the force of his opponent, refusing to give up an inch of ground.

Amidst their struggle, Artorias saw Deimos ducking his head for his leg, and Artorias allowed the other brute to try and grab him, trusting the leather bracer around his ankle to protect him from Deimos' jaws. Much to his benefit, permitting Deimos to grab for his foreleg opened up the other brute's neck, and with a snarl, Artorias dove down aiming to wrap his jaws around the back of Deimos' neck once his head was lowered, aiming to use his stronger jaws to scruff the other brute like an obstinate pup and push him down to his belly on the ground. The faster he could get the other alpha into submission, the faster he could move on to eliminating some of the other Elysian wolves.
