Even though he did make contact with his fellow alpha and did manage to grab the brute's foreleg, neither attack truly had the effect that he had hoped for. Artorias' quick footwork caused the worst of the body slam he had gone for deflect off and didn't give him the upper hand he wanted. Still, his jaws clasped around Artorias' bracer clad ankle. He certainly hadn't intended to do any real damage with the bite so it was probably for the best that the bracer was there to block his teeth and allow him to get a harder bite without having to worry about biting too deep. What he hadn't really planned for was the change in angle that allowed Art to grasp his scruff and start putting pressure down onto him to try and push him down to the ground. With a growl Deimos gave another hard yank of Artorias' leg, this time pulling upward and shoving his neck back into Art's muzzle in the same motion. Now his focus was mostly set on preventing Artorias from getting him to the ground and finding a way to push over the other man instead. With his shoulder still pressed into Artorias' chest he leaned the point of his shoulder into Art's chest as he shoved back against Artorias' weight, wanting to use both the momentum of yanking on his leg and shoving into his chest in combination to regain the upper hand.
