Steel and claw

He wasn't kept waiting all that long and soon a woman coated in dark red with brighter red flame-like markings came charging out of the woods with her sights set on him. He grinned and braced himself in a defensive stance as she ran full speed to him, digging his claws in since it looked like she was going to slam into him. His assumption was correct and he took the brunt of that attack with a grunt as her chest hit his shoulder. He was quick to act though, not wanting to give her time to back away. He lunged forward with open jaws toward her scruff since they were in such close quarters, but that was mostly a distraction to hopefully make her try to flinch out of the way and shift her balance. At the same time he lifted his right paw and went to hook it around the upper part of her left foreleg to pull it into his chest and hopefully lift her paw from the ground while leaning forward to press the point of his shoulder harder into her chest in an attempt to topple her onto her side.
