Scald returns Ely’s tender kiss, listening to her words with a humored smile. Comforting her was the only objective for the rest of the day until all of the pups greeted the world.
It wasn’t long until the next boy entered the world. Scald couldn’t help but smile because Thank Abraxas they weren’t blessed with all girls. He had had enough torment from his own sisters.
When Ely teased that he would be a boy dad, all Scald could do was plant another kiss just beneath her ear on her cheek. “That is something I would be okay with” he murmured jokingly before turning to look at the boy who indeed reminded him of his mother. “Pyxis is a wonderful name,” Scald agrees as he looks back to Ely, wondering if there were more pups to follow.
