He didn’t know where she was from, though he probably should have. Politics weren’t his strong suit and there had been so many different scents at the bonfire he didn’t know who was who and what pack was which. That was certainly part of the reason he wasn’t an ambassador and kept to hunting and exploring. He didn’t have very many friends to speak of, though he loved his family dearly. Could you call your family friends anyway? He had made an attempt at the bonfire, though he wasn’t sure even that had gone very far.
The girl was quite pretty, he liked the vibrant purple of her eyes as she looked up to him as he asked about her motives. He was right, she was indeed getting ready for a hunt and even better she was willing to allow him to come along. Silas’s maw split with a grin, "Great!" He returned as she followed up asking about his knowledge of the place. "Hmm, Tapir are probably the most common. They like water and the wet." He explained after a quick thought. Did she know what a tapir was? "They’re kind of like a mix between a deer and a pig." He explained with amusement.
He didn’t wait too long before taking the initiative and leading the way, making his way through the rain. He was quiet, his large paws thoughtfully placed through the wet leaves as his sharp eyes searched for their intended prey. Before too long, as he said the tapir were quite common, Silas was gesturing to the girl that up ahead was their quarry.
