Spider’s strike finds its target, drawing a sound of pain from their opponent, but it only seems to aggravate the horse further. it’s hooves rain down on them, fast and wickedly sharp, urging them to duck for cover or else risk further injury. tucking their chin into their throat, Spider flattens themselves to the ground and attempts to scramble out of range, skidding across the earth as they make a hasty retreat. panting heavily, the armada heir watches their opponent through wary eyes, searching for weak points as their heart slows. unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any further openings through which to exploit - not if they want to keep their head on their shoulders. body tense, Spider stalks a slow half circle around the horse, keeping an eye out for even a hint of weakness in their defences. they might not be able to attack again yet, but the moment the horse stumbles, they’ll be there to take advantage.
