To his pleasant surprise the young wolf was just as receptive and excited as when he had first offered his proposition. As much as he might be helping the wolf, he would be helping himself. Attaining experience fighting against a wolf could be invaluable, there were so many of his kind that ruled these lands. Despite being dubbed a King, he was far from such a high title in wolf society. Sometimes it seemed that every other canid in these lands would simply call him prey or trophy.

The young wolf brought another grin to Rannoch’s features as he initiated battle. He kicked his heels and the wolf took the opportunity to go for the back of his legs that were holding his weight. Clever boy. Rannoch was not without defense though, and his swiftness was met with another stomp of sharp cloven hooves. He didn’t truly wish to hurt the wolf as his hooves struck down though.
