The raiding party were waiting in the land near Obscura while Kaija went to do some scouting. Time seemed to drag on as they waited and kept waiting with no sign of the woman returning. As the sun creeps up over the horizon, Calliope addresses the eager group and Calico Jack immediately snaps to attention.

A grin tugs at his lips as she looks at him, a playful roll of his eyes signaling that he understands and won’t go for blood until the defenders do. Giving Calliope a nod of agreement, Jack takes a deep breath and unsheathes his cutlass before charging in with the rest of the party as his companions’ hover nearby, just out of a sight.

As color begins to paint the sky, Calico Jack can’t help but think what a glorious day for battle this is.
