First Time For Everything

These lands were new to him. And what a devastating sight it was. He had seen many things before, but nothing quite like this. It seemed to be a place of battle, and the ground was littered with bones and blood. Some fresh, and some that appeared to be sitting there for days...weeks...months...the dust of bones from years past, perhaps. The wolf-dog moved his way across the grounds, stepping around the bones that stuck out of the ground, senses alert for the presence of others. If this was a place where others came to fight, then he supposed that's what he was looking for. His first fight in these lands, would he succeed? Or would he succumb to nature like the ones rotting in the ground?
