She had been patrolling the border in the morning before making her way on over to the nearby woods. It was more sheltered there, hopefully less water running through unlike at the falls. What with the wet season, there was far more water running down the rocks, making things slippery and potentially dangerous if they weren't careful. The young bear squelched her way over the ground, noting it was pretty wet here too, but at least there was some respite with how close the canopy grew together. She could hear the rain pelting the leaves above, dripping steadily down as it slowly, but surely, engulfed the forest floor. This was where her father, Gavroche, had died. But even despite that memory, it was as if his spirit lingered. When it wasn't raining, it was...quiet. Peaceful. She felt at ease here. A break from the constant drumming of the falls where she lived.
