Time and the lack of upkeep had gotten to this place. Years ago when Ashen had ruled over this little slice of the south, there had been shrines and a cute little gazebo his sister used to frequent, but these days the wood had been pilfered and what remained could barely be called a shamble. A sad little pile at best, the wood rotting and green with splinters sharp enough to pierce skin. Still he had fond memories, remembered daring his brother to drink the shrine water-which of course the coward refused to do; earning a bunch of chicken clucks from yours truly.

A lot had changed since then, some for the good, probably most for the worst. He didn't even know where his brother was these days, heard he had a bunch more half siblings roaming around Auster- courtesy of Hattori who musta been bunged up like celebate monk. Oki would have pitied the man, but he clearly brought it on himself.

Moving to the side of the pool, he dipped his paw into the lavender water. It was always sort of...lukewarm, even when the seasons turned cold.
