i'm hunting wabbits

Following his sisters around was becoming one of his go-to solutions to boredom. His brothers seemed all too keen to roughhouse, which was fine for a little while. But he enjoyed bothering Sonnet the most so far, since she didn't seem to take any of his quiet stalking as a nuisance. So he trailed a pace or two behind her, his two toned eyes flicking from one thing to the next. The trees in the orchard were so pretty, all kind of colourful flowers growing from their branches and perfuming the air with the heady aroma that he already associated with spring and comfort and home. He bumped Sonnet a little as she came to a halt, and entirely fell in line as she gingerly negotiated them both behind a tree. Finally, he caught sight of what she was looking at. A group of rabbits happily chomping on a patch of dandelions, their little mouths stained yellow by the petals. The suggestion to hunt them was a welcome one, and he blinked owlishly at his sister for a moment while he thought the whole thing over. How were they going to hunt them? The little creatures were certainly plump and stupid, full of spring flowers and freshly sprouted greens. Even still...

"Surprise attack." he murmured, eyes flicking over to the fat little rabbits to make sure they were still there. "We aren't fast enough to chase them." it was not an insult, but a simple fact. Their little legs were still too awkward and pudgy to give them the kind of speed needed to chase down a rabbit, which was very fast. Meeting her golden eyes, his little nub of a tail wagged with excitement despite his stern expression and clipped words. "If you go around, they might not notice you- you're smaller than me. If you wait on the other side, I can scare them towards you and you can catch them." though his words came out very matter-of-fact and harsh, he tipped his head to the side in a way that made it look more like a suggestion than a demand.
