Truly Val was pleased when Enyo had followed her, her heart skipped a couple of beats and she caught to keep her composure. While she enjoyed the compliments she honestly did not know how to respond. She feared her mind would betray her and so she responded to Enyo's desire to look at her with a coy smile. Showing much more emotion than she normally would.
The closer Enyo moved towards her the more she felt like electricity was dancing along her fur. She wanted nothing more than to press her body against the woman. It was just then that the woman spoke, brushing past her sending a surge of what felt like electricity through her body. She wanted nothing more than to be watched over by this mountain.
As if that wasn't enough the woman then spoke with a voice that was low and inviting. Without think Valkeyrie took a couple of steps towards the woman. She was flustered and every word that Enyo spoke seemed to make it worse, but if she didn't gain control of herself now she would lose this opportunity. A strange opportunity that she didn't even know she wanted.
With a deep breath she regained her outward composure, a skill she had learnt from years of practice. Her heart was still doing backflips in her chest and her stomach was dancing the can can.
"Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in this adventure. I wouldn't want to run into anything... unexpected and witb your impressive form I would surely have nothing to fear " she replied her voice suddenly calm albeit a bit breathless, her eyes still lingering on Enyo coyly.
She followed Enyo into the cavern walking close to her, but not close enough to touch. A decision she made somewhat purposefully. She walked like this for a while, studying the cavern walls as she did so. The rough rock was filled with fascinating patterns. Different to those in the previous dark tunnel she had been in. It was clear that here the split in the Earth was natural while the walls of the mine had been dug.
They did not walk for long before a dim blue light appeared up ahead and Val, who was already as excited as she was albeit in a different way, started walking faster. She was focused on up ahead as well as Enyo and so as they walked closer to the light Valkeyrie moved ahead of Enyo, letting her tail gently drag along Enyo's frame until it ran up her throat and under her chin. She giggled and skipped forward into the wider cavern, stopping as she entered in awe by the beauty.
The cavern was like any cave, dirt floor and stone walls. The physical structure held nothing remarkable. It was what the structure held that pulled her attention. Hundreds of mushrooms and fungi filled the cavern, growing out of nooks and crannies in the wall as well as the floor.
The fungi were in varying shades of Blues, greens and purples. All emitting a faint glow that combined lit up the entire cavern. It was almost magical. There was a pathway that wound itself from where they stood to the middle of the cavern where several wolves could stand quite comfortably. From the clearing in the middle of the cavern two more paths wound their way toward the cavern walls to which she assumed were more tunnels and caverns.
As she looked around in several spots she saw what she at first thought were rather point rocks yet upon closer inspection they happened to be rib cages. The bones of a variety of creatures who had wondered into the field of fungi. She unconsciously shivered, seemed like a terrible way to go.
She looked over her should, remembering her companion and she flashed Enyo another coy smile, "Isn't it magical?" she asked.
