Take Your Cake and Eat It Too

It was odd to him, to be within a pack that wasn't comprised solely of family. But alas, it was one step closer to their goals, and the alphas here didn't seem so bad. He was a bit surprised at first to find that neither the leading alpha nor the Bone Queen were mates, but rather a friendly partnership while she trained her heir. Traditionally, the alpha pair were mates. But as he would come to find, Insomnia didn't quite follow the status quo, now, did they? It was amusing really, and he was keen to learn more about their ways and the wolves that lived here. But for now, he sought out his brother to glean more information about their future.

He walked quietly across the ground, noting the flowers and plants that had sprouted during this blissful Spring season. The sky was a peaceful blue with hardly a cloud in the sky, and it seemed the pack here did well for themselves. He could see a few of the members in the distance racing across the land, and on the opposite end, a couple of deer just beyond the territory. It was about high noon or so, the sun well overhead and shining brightly over the lands. Surely Erebos was out and about enjoying the peace of the day?
