Her body strained against the cougar's desperate thrashing, but she held firm, digging her claws into its side to anchor herself. The taste of blood filled her mouth as she bit down harder, determined to end the fight before Zagan or his panther could be hurt. The cougar let out a gurgling snarl, its movements becoming more frantic but less coordinated as it began to lose the battle.
