Triss

Crux chuckled again at Triss' teasing complaint but he admittedly wasn't expecting her to turn the question on him. He paused for a moment and gave an audible "hmm" as he thought. "I was raised with certain expectations in mind." He began carefully. "The Fatalis family has something of a legacy, I've never been particularly concerned with our political history but I guess it's sort of akin to royalty? Expectations on behaviour for sure..." Crux cocked his head to the side. "I don't really remember any expectations about political marriages or anything, not sure if that's because we've never done them or because I was less than ideal for that purpose..." In truth he hadn't really thought about it before but so much of his life has changed. The words weren't said with any bitterness, it was a simple acknowledgment about how others may have seen him in that light.
"But I guess there was always a sort of encouragement to continue the Fatalis legacy?" Crux gave Triss a smile. "I've never really thought about my future much outside of those expectations." He paused for a moment. He'd always sort of casually assumed if he ever found someone he would make a family of his own but now with the woman he loved in front of him things felt much more tangible. "I think I want to change my expectations, keep only things we both want and ditch anything else. I want to make sure we're on the same page before we make any big decisions."
He was pivoting slightly, mostly because he still wasn't sure how ready he felt to discuss the possibility of making their own little family. He barely felt older than a child, it felt hard to believe he'd be ready to parent... "I want us to be open with each other." He stalked back towards Triss, lowering slightly so he could go back to bombarding her with kisses. "I want you to tell me whenever I'm being too annoying." His tone was playful, though his words carried some truth. He didn't want to let issues fester out of control. If there were things that could be fixed he just wanted to fix them.
