His bite missed, fangs snapping shut over empty air as the yearling countered, fangs digging into the flesh behind his left shoulder. Úlfr grunted at the pain but swiftly retaliated. Kicking off hard he sought to drive the point of his left shoulder up into the tender flesh underneath the yearlings lower jaw, hoping to cause main and dislodge his attacker even if it meant worsening his shoulder wound. At the same time his jaws lanced forward, fangs seeking to dig into the tender flesh between the boy's right shoulder and chest.
