Watching the other closely as she pulled herself from the water, offering the other a paw she didn't see. Atreyu wondered if the other could see as the stranger commented about the stones being a prank. A look of concern passed over her brow then and she drew closer to the smaller woman. "At the risk of sounding rude, and I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but...how well can you actually see?" Atreyu was always going to be one to be direct, she knew the signs well enough, but she needed to know if the other woman could see at all or simply vague shapes.

Her ear slid back on her head, pointing toward Vayne to let him know she was aware of him, though her focus remained on the pale stranger. He didn't have to stand guard, but she appreciated his presence nonetheless. "I only ask because I may be able to help." She didn't want the other to be afraid, just to see clearly. If they knew how bad her vision was, they could begin to craft something to help her out. Atreyu would hate to see someone drown over vision problems...There were other questions to come, but by the reaction of the girl, she was probably nearsighted.
