Mostly from raids and solo training more than being taught by others, but it didn't make her feel any less capable of standing on her own in a fight.

As she moved her head to avoid her enemy's jaws, the dark wolf managed to get the thicker fur of her neck, for then pulling towards her. Nova planted her own paws firmly wanting to counter her attempts to knock her off. As Dusk slammed herself into her, she aimed to turn and bite on the smaller wolf's scruff or anywhere near, feeling the blow but trying to brace herself.
