She could hear the fighting continue, silent prayers given that Bae-Syl, Jareth, and Beauregard would be alright. The feeling of a small weight upon her brought a gasp from the fae’s lips and she startled before realizing it was Ruby. She took several deep breaths, tears slipping down her cheeks as she recomposed herself.

“Ruby…” She called to the bird softly. Calm down, she told herself. Keep looking. A few more things were tossed aside before she noticed a bag she overlooked. Her heart soared with hope as she turned to it. Tearing it open, relief washed over her. There wasn’t a lot, but there was some marigold, horsetail and Tormentil. This would be enough. It had to be. Gaze lifted, a silent prayer sent to the deities to protect the males allied with her.
