From high above the battlefield, the black and white raven circled the skies, observing the fights below. When it noticed the polar bear defeat Briar and start charging for Solaire, the raven cawed and swooped down into a thicket of nearby trees where Ember lay in wait. Nocturne alighted on her shoulder with a few warning croaks, and then Ember was springing from the foliage into action. In a flash of midnight fur, the Carpathian princess charged into the fray for the polar bear attacking her brother, swinging wide around through the throng of fighting wolves so she could get a flanking attack on the giant arctic ursine and catch her off guard.

Ember charged for the polar bear's flanks while she was distracted with Solaire, stifling a growl to keep herself silent aside from the crunch of snow beneath racing paws. She kept her sword sheathed for now, remembering her father's warning to keep their weapons away unless escalated. When she drew close enough, Em lunged for Saga's back leg, aiming to wrap her jaws around the bear's ankles where the fat and fur was the thinnest. Ember knew she wouldn't be able to overpower the polar bear on her own, but she could at least help put her off balance for her larger brother to try and subdue her.
