She had managed to defeat the smaller she-wolf. Surprisingly. She wasn't expecting that if she was honest with herself. Still, it gave her a boost of confidence. She briefly looked around at the others, some still engaged and others falling away from their opponents, while others still looked like they had won their fights, too. She was distracted for a moment, and so she didn't see the smaller wolf coming for her until she felt the smaller weight against her which almost threw her off balance, but not quite enough. Whirling around in surprise, hackles bristled as she instinctively lunged for whoever it was, barely realizing it was a much younger wolf. While she wasn't aiming to outright harm her, she did try to go for the girls scruff, and maybe if she was lucky she could grab onto it and swing her away to put some distance between them.
