Spare a cup of sugar?

Gav couldn't even spare a smile for her and it made the dark lady sad. Surely he had to know that this was just practice, right? A raid just to keep their skills honed? There was no intention of harming any of the wolves within his pack and Dusk would die before she hurt the little winged brute herself.

Little hands grasped at her foreleg but they were ripped away as Dusk's cat collided with the monkey. A great, obsidian dog peeled itself from the background, running alongside the little cat that was intent on helping its master. Dusk's bird fluttered around Gav's face, picking at his ears with its beak.

Dusk, meanwhile, blinked against the monkey tail that had obscured her vision. Just in time, too. Gav regained his footing and was trying to scamper away. One big paw swept out, aiming for the small, winged wolf's paws in an attempt to knock them out from beneath him. She was already on the move towards him once more.
