Nelu took mental notes as he watched the fights breaking out around him, particularly focusing on his parents battles. This was an excellent opportunity to study others fighting techniques and see what he could glean for his own fights. As the battles continued, more and more defenders appeared and Nelu set aside his observations in favor of getting involved in a fight himself.

A boy with a colorful set of markings charged toward him, gaining speed for a literal head-on collision. Nelu steadied himself and kicked off hard, his body lifting slight as he did so. This caused the boy's head to slam into the top of his cuirass. Nelu felt the impact, noting there would likely be bruising but the armor took the bulk of the force. Nelu quickly darted his jaws downward, seeking to grasp the boy's scruff, right behind his ears. He hoped to get a good hold from which he could limit his opponents attack options.
