What's This?

Giant paws carried Taiga quietly through the strange, red tinged landscape. She stopped to sniff one of the pillars, then continued on. The strange, screaming faces seemed to gain more detail the closer that she came to the center and a little tickle of warning bit at the back of her mind. The massive lioness noted the softer dirt between the pillars and gently pushed a bit snowshoe paw into the soil, scraping it away to see if there was anything beneath. Anything that might explain why this had happened.

Again she cut her raspberry gaze towards the faces on the stones, curious as to what the faces even belonged to. There were eyes, nose and a mouth, so they had to belong to some sort of face. A monkey, perhaps?
