The other male seeks his scruff with his teeth and the shorter man uses his slightly sideways momentum to sidestep the bite. Ears flat against his skull, the rainbow-marked man shifts his stance, moving his back end to put himself at a slightly off-center angle to the taller wolf.

Without a moments waste, he launches himself forward again, this time aiming for the leg that is closest to him. His teeth seek flesh as one front paw lefts off the ground as he aims to try and hook it around the man’s ankle. It is an attempt to gain control of the leg while at the same time, he shoves his weight into the taller male in an attempt to topple him and eke out a victory.
