Fire in the hole

Danger was indeed Delphi's middle name. She had wanted to start the adventure when the tremors began, but the night had been too dark, too thick, to venture out in. As soon as dawn rose in a hue of reds over the horizon, Delphi was practically pull Strai's tail to go check it out. Safe or not, she wanted an excuse to get away.

Upon approach of the spires, she glances at Strai, one brow raised before giving him a shrug. "Could be anything," she replies before trotting ahead of him toward the nearest spire. "There's something etched into toward the bottom though," Delphi calls over her shoulder, eyes bright and excited as she trails her paw over the terrified appearing face traced into the metal.
