Having mapped out Veteran’s Plateau for most of the day, Clove felt content with her findings. It was an odd place with ancient artifacts, but there were similarities in the items. She’d even found some swords and weapons! Not that she was a weapons kind of girl, but it was intriguing nonetheless. And she was excited to show her Father her discoveries, and see if he wanted to use any of her treasures to create new weapon designs for their warriors. She just wanted to make him proud.

Now, the sun was beginning its descent, painting the sky in shades of orange and purple. A sign to hunker down for the night. She could always find refuge in a nearby pack, if they were associates with the Hallows- but she decided to camp out on her own, for the thrill of being an adventurer.

She’d just set her treasures down, having put them in a neatly organized pile, and was preparing to start a fire in an abandoned den she found. But her belly started growling, and the scent of a deer was fresh in the air. She contemplates for a moment, and ultimately decides to track the deer, to assess it. Because she could take it down alone if it was a juvenile.


She sets out across the plains, allowing the deer’s scent to guide her.
