He tracked the deer through the plateau until he could finally catch a glimpse of it. Shortly after he did so, the scent of wolf trickled down to him. He glanced to his side, and saw the pale form of a smaller wolf, also tracking the deer. He set his expression into a warning, he had found this creature and intended to hunt it. She could help, but if she tried to take it herself, or hinder him, she would find a fight on her paws.

Flicking his tail in silent communication, he continued forward towards the deer. Hunkering down in the long grass to stay out of sight of his prey. His eyes shifted once more to the wolf, taking one last look to see what she was doing with this hunt.
